I did a viral thing on LinkedIn again.

I did a viral thing on LinkedIn again.

Last time, it was about working for a narcissist.

This time, it was about ice cream that looked like a used feminine product.

God forbid I go viral for anything that would actually help me career-wise on a career-focused social media platform, right?

Anyone know anything about Substack?

So, I’ve been posting my bookish content on Substack… and I’m realizing it’s like another damn social media platform.

It looks like to grow there, you need to be active there… and I just don’t have time for that.

Still, the bookish newsletter will go there, but growth will be slow because someone (I’m someone) doesn’t have the energy to be social there… or anywhere.

Unless I’m missing something?

If I am, fill me in.

But do you have time for me?

Did you know I have a 3-hour program where I share the seven secret ingredients to creating a pitch to get publicity and make a profit?

Plus, I’ve got some sick AF bonuses for you, including:

  • Media Mindset Masterclass
  • Personal Branding Workbook
  • “Fill-in-the-Blanks” Pitch Template
  • The Exact Pitch
  • My Help a Reporter Out Formula

… and you can snag it all for just $37 right here.

I used to run this bootcamp live over three days, but you know the deal now (“ain’t nobody for time for that”), so I’m literally giving you EVERYTHING you need to create, write, pitch, and respond to lead-generating media appearances. And then some. In just 3 hours.

This deal is UNREAL. So don’t let it pass you by.

Editing on Edits

Anyone editing their Instagram Reels on Edits?

It’s Instagram's new editing app (yes, a separate one), and while it’s not perfect and sometimes I get frustrated and hop onto my Adobe Premiere Pro to get the job done faster, it is a lot better than what’s going on in Reels on the Instagram app.

I like it for the captions. More options there.

Anything else I need to jump on in Edits?

Christina

PS - I’m spending June in Europe, so I’ll be MIA for a bit and will try my damndest to be offline (outside sharing all the travels on IG, of course!)

If you were anywhere near Bookstagram this week, you probably saw the drama. A major Bookstagrammer posted that some of the books she used to love are no longer books she supports because of her “biblical convictions.” Just one slide from what I'm calling religious psychosis And listen, people can change their minds. People can evolve and decide something is not for them anymore. But that is not why people got upset. What made everyone collectively go, girl... what? was the way it felt like...

A year and a half ago, I bought a vending machine off Facebook Marketplace and dropped it into our local community center because, apparently, I like turning random ideas into family businesses. At first, Landon was ALL in. Every week, he was ready to check inventory, restock snacks, and count the money. (Very CEO energy for a fourth grader.) Now? The novelty has worn off just a little. He is significantly less thrilled about weekly vending machine maintenance, which honestly feels like a...

This went viral on LinkedIn, and based on the response, a lot of people have dealt with some version of this. A potential client once told me to choke on a chicken bone. Twice. This happened before he ever became a client. He had reached out about hiring my agency and seemed interested, but never actually moved forward. But that didn't stop him from copying me on emails with business updates, personal news, and political opinions. (He was very concerned about who used what bathroom. I...
