Media coverage is super easy when a national producer reaches out to you out of the blue, right? That’s what happened to me after I started working on some Super Bowl party decorations. Of course, the theme was Taylor Swift. When I posted my BINGO cards on TikTok, someone took notice and sent me a DM to be included in her story about my Super Bowl era. The moral of the story? Overpost it all. You never know who could see it. My NEW WebsiteIs anyone really happy with their website? I feel like sometimes I am, then I get an idea or my goals change… and it’s back to the drawing board. So, I did a thing. For years, ChristinaNicholson.com redirected to MediaMavenAndMore.com. Not anymore! Now, ChristinaNicholson.com is my personal brand website and MediaMavenAndMore.com is my agency website. Obviously, there is going to be some overlap, and I still have lots of tweaking to do, but the goal is this… ChristinaNicholson.com: All about me and what I do outside of agency work, like one-off projects MediaMavenAndMore.com: All about the publicity and content creation agency that does not necessarily include me, but my team instead I made this super easy too. I paid the company I use for website maintenance $100 to duplicate my Media Maven site and made changes to Christina Nicholson from there. Still to come… a color change for my personal website, a new image for Media Maven, etc. Any other suggestions? Media OpportunityWant to be in Women’s Health Magazine? Check out this tweet!

I have a very glamorous update from my YouTube journey. It is not going well. My videos are not being found. They are not being watched. The YouTube algorithm has not lovingly scooped me up in its arms and introduced me to thousands of new best friends. Rude, honestly. I’m doing the things I’m “supposed” to do. I’m posting. I’m optimizing titles. I’m thinking about thumbnails. I’m trying to make videos people actually want to watch. I’m showing up like a responsible little bookish content...
I finally realized why AI keeps giving people mediocre content. They’re briefing it like a stressed-out group chat with one vague sentence, three missing details, and a follow-up correction 14 seconds later. I’ve been deep in Anthropic’s prompting best practices lately, and the biggest revelation is this: Anthropic recommends structuring prompts the same way you’d brief an employee. Because you know I love a specific example, here’s what that actually looks like in practice. Let’s say I want...
Hi Reader, Last week, I went to PitchFest at ThrillerFest in NYC, and let me tell you... It was a whirlwind. For three hours, I met with as many literary agents and editors as I could, pitching Zoe’s Got Baggage again and again until I could probably do it in my sleep. The best part? Most agents said "yes" and asked to see more. Now we wait... This is what I learned that I can pass on to you: Don’t treat a pitch like a speech. Treat it like the start of a conversation. At PitchFest, we only...
