Every business coach said NOT to do this. I just did it.

I just did something every single business coach has told me NOT to do.

I put all my pricing packages right on the homepage of my website.

No more "contact for pricing" or "let's schedule a call to discuss options."

Just four clear packages, all the details, and the price tags to go with them.

Why the change? Honestly, I was tired of my team members wasting time on calls with people who were never going to become clients.

You know the ones - they're curious about what you do, they ask a million questions, but they're either not ready to commit or their budget is nowhere near what your services cost.

But there's more to it than just avoiding tire kickers.

I wanted crystal-clear boundaries around what my team does and doesn't do.

If it's not included in one of our four packages, we simply don't offer it anymore.

No more custom jobs, no more "could you just add this one thing?" requests that inevitably turn into scope creep nightmares.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking.

"But if you put your prices online, your competitors will see them!" Or, "What about charging premium clients more?"

Here's my take: I just don't care about playing those games.

If a competitor wants to know my prices, they'll find out one way or another.

And as for potentially "short-changing" myself with some clients who might pay more?

The mental freedom of having clear, consistent pricing is worth way more to me than the occasional premium I might be missing out on.

The takeaway for you?

Consider whether unclear pricing and fuzzy service boundaries are creating headaches in your business.

Sometimes what feels like flexibility to you is actually creating confusion for your potential clients.

Clear packages and transparent pricing don't just protect your time.

They make the buying decision easier for your customers too.

Shelf Made Stories

Jenny Kelley did what everyone said couldn't happen.

She opened a bookstore in 25 days… 25 DAYS!

While major chains keep closing doors, Bookish Boutique is thriving one year later.

What's her secret sauce?

🤳🏻 Pink couches that beg for selfies → Create Instagram-worthy spaces in your business. They market themselves.

🍷 A wine bar that keeps customers lingering → The longer people stay, the more they'll pay.

🛍️ "Smut University" merch flying off shelves → Find your specific niche and lean all the way in.

I interviewed Jenny for this week's podcast.

Her story will change how you think about "impossible" business goals.

She threw the traditional playbook away.

And it worked.

I delete people from my email list every day. ...and I’m not sorry about it. Quality beats quantity every time. I used to want a huge subscriber count. But here's what I discovered: A massive list full of disengaged people? It’s an absolute waste of my precious email writing time. Now I ruthlessly prune my list. Haven't opened in 30 days? DELETE. Your inbox deserves content you actually want to read. And yes, this deleting of subscribers is automated. I sleep better knowing every email I send...
